I've had this for a month or so and decided to post it since I'm on a wood carving kick. A bit hard to photograph being so tall and details get lost in the black finish. I believe this is ebony and from Africa. He's tall and slender, not more than 2 1/2" wide but 14" tall. It has a dense heavy feel to it. There are no marks or labels anywhere. I just really liked him. I've seen a few examples online. There are female versions as well. Maybe he's a Masai but the beard doesn't seem to fit. I could be wrong, just a guess.
