I love the design on this Alfred Meakin 13" art deco platter, I found it at the tip in good undamaged condition ...!
As you can see in the pictures this is transfer painted & not a round platter and has a deco pattern in the clay in 4 places , it is marked on the back -
"PALMAS" DECOR
PRINCESS MARIGOLD
ALFRED MEAKIN ENGLAND.
Ive seen loads of Meakin designs but never this one so had to have it for 50p.. the pattern reminds me of my holiday in the canary islands , "palm trees ".......
