    Not sure what this is - looks like possibly a nautical item, it is quite heavy with a big iron hook on top. Cut out openings on all sides and bottom. Large iron rings around top, middle and bottom.

      Looks like someone tried to make a chum basket. Openings are too big for bait.

      Remnants of an old wagon wheel hub, that someone tried to re-purpose.

      It's an old world shock absorber for a carriage or wagon. I have no idea how they worked, but that's what this is. Nice find!
