Hey guys, I'm new here, but I enjoy lurking and viewing all the treasures I've seen. I picked this up at a thrift shop not long ago. It has no markings, and I was told it came from donated things from an estate sale. She's small, the actual bust is about four inches, and with base and pedestal she stands about 7 1/2 inches. The bust part is heavy maybe made out of some sort of stone, the rod is metal, and she is mounted on a wooden base. She's kinda creepy and weird but I couldn't leave her behind, actually I did, but went back the next day to get her.

First off I would like to hold her to look more close at her . She appears to be a old shoulder head doll but I need to see side view of her to see if they filled in side also . IF she was a old doll head her lips have been repainted or she was made to replicate a old doll and was made to look worn . Her face could it be tin or is it more soft like paper mache the weight could come from what she was filled in with . A side veiw ok and I will watc for it :-) She may have been modified to base which is not that old .

Thank you so much for commenting, and your willingness to investigate further!! Much appreciated! I took her out into the sunlight, and she might be tin, looking at places where the paint has come off, it seems to be kinda shiny looking. I'll will post a side shot of her arm and shoulder area when I get a little more charge on my camera battery, but I can say after closer inspection that area is not as smooth as the rest of her.

Thank YOU, and yes definitely creepy cool. My daughter says that one day I'm going to bring something home that's cursed, we'll see...:) I thought she looked like Queen Elizabeth too.

Without holding her I would say she is a decorative item made to look old . I wish I could tell you more but she appears to be a artists creation and not antique .
