This is supposed to be a Georgian ring(I've no reason to disbelieve it) but I did buy it on ebay. I think the gold is 18ct. Old cut Diamonds mounted in Silver, and a large Garnet in the middle. As you can see from the photos it's quite a large ring, at the sides of the ring the work is very intricate. It does have hallmarks. I would be interested to see what you think. Thanks

    Sheffield Mark.

Yes, it looks like it T.D and D.S, I can see a head and a crown in the middle don't know what last mark is. It's times like this when I love a book of makers marks and hallmarks. I'm glad you like it. I like it but my daughter hates it, she has no taste, lol.

Yes I see the crown is assay mark for Sheffield.

Ha. Ha I realized I've already loved this once before. It is really beautiful! I posted a onyx black/silver pendant about 8-9 month ago that has those round looking roses that your ring has. Have a look if you want.

Yes, I've just looked on your wall it's very pretty, you also have a ring with Red a Stone and looks Victorian, that is lovely, ornate like this one.

Thanks :)! Have you been able to find out who made your ring? Is it the britannica mark next to the George mark? I've searched för your Makersmark but can't seam to find it.

No I haven't I'm afraid, believe it or not it is far easier to find Silver Makermarks then Gold, why I really haven't a glue, lol.
