How can you tell the original from all the reproductions that are popping up? A few years back it wasn't such a problem. But with toppers getting more popular I see all kinds of repros, especially on ebay.

Thanks Rocker-sd, Yes the reproductions are a big problem. The details of the reproductions and quality of metal is things to look for. But it is hard to tell sometimes from looking at a photo without actually handling item. I can usually tell immediately just from years of experience, but it still can be tricky. SOME original toppers are dated, some have manufacture name, ect. reproductions do not. Some(not all) of the original topper had a raised surface where they bolt to vehicle, some of the reproductions do not. The best advice I can give you is just study all the details of originals and you will be able to tell the difference.
