Over the weekend I went to a garage sale and found this 1880 clock. It has a couple condition issues but the price was affordable and I loved it anyway. I seem to have a home for misfit pieces that just need love.

oh heck yes dang right, deserves a goood spot as a survivor,..and with some tlc it will outlast all of us,..any restoration would just erase some years that make it just a cool thing to look at, just keep it dusted and keep the works clean n running,..great find!

You might consider using a little lemon oil & bees wax on the wood. Doesn't build up quickly. Easy to apply and will help to protect and conserve the finish. Very nice pick. Thanks for sharing.

It certainly is a beautiful clock. I really Howard Beeswax Feed-N-Wax Wood polish. I use it on all of my wood furniture and to seal the canvas on my antique canvas covered trunks. Really love your clock. You did good!!
