This would you believe is another tip find !!
Seen it & had to have it so for 75p who would say no..
I think its a lovely colour the browny parts are glazed the rest not !
The burnt orange I think is beautiful and really sets this jug off :-)
Its 7.5" high and marked on the base "PORTHLEVEN"
Its also marked gf in monogramme for Graham Fern
who started this pottery in the 1970s and closed it in the mid to late 80s, he worked there with his wife Fenella also a potter .
    They moved to New Zealand!
I hope you like this one as much as I do , and if you can tell me any more please feel free to do so ;-)))

I think that Fenella Fern is the daughter, not wife, of Graham Fern.

"The Porthleven Pottery was based in the Cornish seaside town of Porthleven near Helston, until the late 1990s/2000, when the owners moved to New Zealand. Opening in 1967, Graham Fern and his daughter Fenella created many fantastic pieces of pottery. The site was also home to a couple of potters before Graham, including Brian Jasper and Jon Cheney. Vintage pottery made by Graham Fern himself is marked with a 'gf' and Fenella pottery appears to be marked with an 'f'. There is little known about Fenella's time at the pottery,"
