This one might also be sandcast because the backside has scratches and rough edges, but maybe not. Doesn't matter to me. I love this 2.5" x 1.5" bow-tie pin. Marked Sterling on back. I found this about 15 yrs. ago at an auction for a trading post liquidation. It has a beautiful stone w/brown matrix. Honestly have no idea who made it or where this came from but I know it is very nice.
I love both of your pins. You did well getting these.
I really like the way these cast items have a "rustic" look. The unevenness and lack of "perfection" makes them so much more appealing to me!
Hi Karen and thank you! Mel's sandcast bracelet is so nice. I wanted to share some of my beloved items. I agree with rustic, uneven - HANDMADE! qualities. My pictures are not great but the turquoise on both my pins is very pretty.
Thank you friends for love: agh, Lee, share, jewels, mike, kevin and amber!
Wonderful!
Native american sterling silver artist!!
Thanks Elisabeth and southcop for your comments. Pretty isn't it?
Thanks to everyone who loved this pin:
Gargoyle, Sean, Musikchoo, Trey, Tom, Mani, Gudrun and Lourdes!
Thanks toe - you are right. This is the real deal. It's a very good Navajo pin.
awesome!!
Thanks southcop - I love it. Just found a NEW (old) denim jean jacket at goodwill and it will look perfect on it. Waiting for cool weather. Even my birds are escaping to the coolest, far corner of the apt. Normally they like to be with me screetching for attention.
Thanks kiva for the love!
