(350 items)

These items were sent home from a marine somewhere in the Pacific to his wife. The marine had taken these items off a KIA Japanese soldier. The flag was washed thoroughly to get out the stains before being sent home. If you look closely at the large bill you will notice there are really two bills. Note the burn marks where the pieces of the bills are missing. This was caused by the hot schrapnel that went through the bills. The patch was taken off the uniform, and has the rank and the soldier's name. A sad reminder of the horrors of war.
