This vase is fourteen inches high and seven and a half at the widest points. I do not know who the maker is, and I welcome input on this.

Almost a year ago my sister was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. After her diagnosis she and I spent many nights online sharing glass pieces that caught our eye.

I loved this from the second I saw it, and she bought it for me.

Six months ago, during the worst time of her illness, she moved here with me to be cared for.

She passed away two weeks ago...six days before my birthday, thirty six days before her own.

I would like to find out who the maker of this vase my sister and I continued to search through the remainder of her life.

I have seen, online, this exact style of vase attributed to Missoni.

I wish I could help with information but I don't know much about glass. I was touched by your story and I am sorry about your loss.

Freiheit, thank you so much. When I told my sister that the vase reminded me of waves splashing against the sand she got it for me for Valentine's Day. She knew I missed spending summer days on the beach in California when I lived there. :)

Hi Betty. Thanks for your story about your precious vase.
Would you be able to post a photo of the base please?
It may help us identify it.
Also, where did you buy it? Markets, shop, antique dealer? Just trying to get a date idea too.

There really isn't anything to see on the bottom. It's white, with a clear edge around (case glass?) and no markings. It's sanded smooth, but still has a rough texture. My sister bought it from a reseller on Etsy.

It reminds me of a vase I found, and posted on here around 3 years ago. Mine was Italian Murano style, by Tammaro.

I think it is a product of some Czech glassworks from the 60s - 70s of the 20th century. I have the same vase in a slightly different color design in my collection.
