I promised myself may times not to buy any jewelry with marcasite stones anymore because they always tend to fall out! Well, here we have two rings I bought some time ago and I have not worn yet because a few marcasite are missing. I wonder if it is worth taking them to a jeweler or if it is a better idea to source the marcasite and do it myself. I also considered using some old pieces and take the marcasite to repair the jewelry I like. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks for looking:)

Ha! Same for marcasite for me...
They fall, but if you want to remove them... Crush!
Replace them will be a challenge, but worth trying if you find spare stones (think There are some on EBay)

I am glad I am not the only one, kyratango. One day, when I am retired for good, I will take care of all my jewelry either by fixing it myself or taking it to a jeweler to have it repaired. Here is a website davyd286 sent me a long time ago. There we might find what we need. I am just waiting to have one big order because I am in Canada shipping is very expensive:( http://www.mrstones.com

What a nice place to live a long time ago I was told it was only for the young. Back to your items yes I do enjoy looking at your articles. I have some love items but with having trouble putting the down is hard it gets frustrating. It doesn't only happen to me I believe. Recently I came across some silver marks & to my surprise I found a marking that 925s is from I believe it said 1895 to 1930. I did buy it in a second had store but they said they remodelled there old jewellery. From what I seen when looking the style even fitted that description. Please keep your great items coming. I have even gotten up at 3am to try & upload.
