I believe the markings are 50/161 any help? The piece is about 5" long and stands about 3 1/2 " tall. I believe it is from Germany?

How old do you think it is? Kid isn't stocky enough to make me think Germany. I suspect Japan at work again. Pics of bottom, other side and inside would be helpful.
