How many times have I promised myself not to buy anything less than perfect?! I have broken my own rules again for this vintage pin (it cost me almost nothing so I didn't feel too bad). When I saw it, I just decided that I am going to repair it. As you might see, a few of the green rhinestones are missing or lost their luster. One clear rhinestone is missing, too. I have matching green and clear stones from a vintage pin that I kept for "spare parts" but I am not sure if I should rather replace all of the green stones, even the ones that look ok so that there will be no difference visible what so ever.

I would really appreciate your opinion.

    Thanks so much for looking:)

It is a beauty! Worth buying if not expensive, plus the repair challenge!
For your question, I would only replace lacking and dull rhinestones, because they are few.
If most were gone, it would be rather all to change.
Please post your brooch once repaired, I love projects ;-)

Thanks a lot kyratango. I am glad you gave me your opinion. I paid only $4 for the pin and I think it is worth fixing it up. It has a weight of over 30 grams and is about 3 3/4 inches. I am so lucky to have the exact stones I need in another pin but I will place an order before I start just in case any stones break when I take them out :)

Great find for 4$! And it is clever to anticipate replacement stones broken when take out...

I love this pin - great size. It's worth fixing up! $4 for a sterling pin is darn good. Looks like it's an easy job and you have the right ones. I just bought 2 old celluloid items for $8 (bangle & leaf pin) and they need some TLC. Of all the vintage white rhinestones w/gold foil backs I have - very few fit these 2 - oh well. I'm still gonna fix.

Thanks a lot, valentino97, for your comment. I, too, think it will be an easy job. I just need some peace and quiet to do it:)

I found my pin! Mine really needs some TLC in comparison to the one listed below, but at least I found out when it was made and who designed it.
