A great decor in a rare color with handles...what's not to love!
Standing 4 5/8" tall by 4 3/4" wide, this Loetz Phänomen Genre can be one of 2 or 3 (829 or 830) decors as they are all quite similar. Since I cannot locate an exact match for the form, its difficult to make a proper attribution. I assume its a shape from 1902-03, a time when the majority of production forms are still undocumented.
Three gold handles separate the vase into sections where the pulled feather decor circles the rim and descends toward the base. The silver blue iridescent decoration contrasts beautifully against the salmon colored ground.
Glad I'm not the only one who couldn't figure it out :).
Killer piece, was a bidder myself.
I came VERY close to bidding but I already have an 829. BEAUTIFUL.
