Hello, my late father had this in his possession. It is in excellent shape. I'm trying to find out more info about it and whether it is valuable. Would a train museum be interested in acquiring it? Thanks in advance, Karen
I believe you have the 1927 "Oriental Limited" Train Set - Does the car in your third picture (the one on the left side of pic) have the number 3012 on the gold plate below the center window on the other side (side not shown)?

The first "Oriental Limited" set had red cars - yours was first advertised in 1927 and only showed up in catalogs for a few more years. Your father kept that in very good condition and the tracks and original box are a plus, in fact that pre-war box itself is very hard to find.
Thanks for the info. I'm wondering what to do with it-- sell it, keep it, donate it… any thoughts?!!
