    The butterfly is a pinch/clip system: wings are articulated, a band of metal acting as spring to pinch fabric after lifting the wings. 1" wide.

    The two unusual shape insects are 1.1/4" long.

    All have tiny garnet eyes (full of cruelty, eek!)

    Always got bitten by these as you can see ;-D

      Haha Roycroft! Even as a little girl I was TERRIFIED by bugs, butterflies, and all these living creatures which have more than 4 legs!
      Not afraid of snakes, or lizards or rats, but worms yes, lol.

      Strange as all of these insects brooches have red eyes...
      Little cruel red eyes...
      Blood thirsty little creatures...

      Another example of pinch clip brooch here, the butterfly is one!

      Found the name for the green cat's eye stones, apatite cat's eye!
