    I don't know anything about it. Made in 1915. PurOlator pat Dec 28, 1915. I have not found anything about it. It is an interesting piece.

      Looks like this was "Purolator's" first oil filter. I assume there are replacable cartridges inside this heavy case, which has a guage and and sight glass to monitor the oil pressure. http://www.purolatorautofilters.net/news/pages/purolatorhistory.aspx
      Just my take on it, as I have never seen another like it. Nice Find!
