Here are more pix of the item. I am new to Collectors Weekly and I'm having trouble loading pix. I think they're too large.

Hi: What is the overall length of this piece? How wide, and how deep is the slot as it runs thru the handle device? Is the slot hollow as it passes thru the handle device? Does the hammer looking protrusion have any markings, such as a stamp? Any numbers or trademark logos on it? I have a couple of clues, but need this info before I embarress myself. lol

Okay, it measures 37" long, 3 3/4" wide, the slot is 2 1/2" wide and an inch high where it passes thru at the handle. It is open all the way thru. I can find no markings anywhere on the thing.
