I can't figure this one out. The exterior of the bowl is a bunch of nekky ladies hugging etc. (hey, guess what, my husband bid on this one...) The handle seems to be a goat head (devil?). The only marking on the underside is ITALY. I am assuming this is a knock-off but can't be sure. I've done a lot of snooping around and can find identical bowls but none with this type of Roman decadence theme. Has anyone ever seen this bowl with decor other than little cherubs?

Riaz, yes, my thinking but with the absence of a mark on the underside other than a ITALY under the final glaze ... it's just strange and makes me be sceptical.

Hi TubeAm - yup, that's the one I've seen with the little cherubs. Never with these ladies...I will keep digging.
      Thanks, all and Merry Christmas

The other bowl isn't cherubs, its satyrs. If those are satyrs with Pan head handles, then these must be nymphs. And that bowl says Italy as well.
