I found this little round vase a few years ago at another flea market. It's about 5" tall and round. The gold on the rim and handles is almost completely gone and one handle has a hair line crack. But I love it all the same. The mark looks like hearts drooping from the top of a tree but they seem to be some version of a flower. There is a similar backstamp in the Nippon books but I think I'll give Gotheborge.com another look.

Love this vase, very beautiful! Definitely Japanese, look it up by searching for vintage nippon hallmarks.

According to marks4antiques, of which I’m a member, this was a generic US import mark on pieces from Japan circa 1890-1910, so unfortunately no maker’s mark
