This bowl is made of three layers.....spatter, clear, spatter. The two spatter layers are quite thin but the middle, clear layer is thick. Presumably this is to give strength to something which might be used. I think this is the only piece I have with two separate layers of spatter.

It's interesting the way it has been made. Complicated process really for a "simple" dish but it certainly makes it attractive with the outside and inside spatter different.
Time and craft had a different perspective back then.
