My first Pilkington's Lancastrian lustre vase. This one was decorated by William Mycock in 1927. It is 4.5 inches high. Vetraio50 provides a fine overview of Pilkington's lusterware so I'll provide the link to that:

    Thanks to all for the nice comments. Peasejean55, I am happy to find someone that can claim this as a fine part of their local heritage. I wish I could visit the museums, such as the one in Manchester, that have Lancastrian collections. I hope you have the opportunity.

    Hi Amphora, of course I've heard of Pilkington before, but I never knew they made this type of beautiful glass. When I'm in Manchester next, I'll shall have a look in the Manchester Museum and look at the Pilkingtion collection :-)
