First let me apologise for the photos, I've just bought this bracelet.
I'm not sure of the age, it does look very old, also I'm not sure of the metal, on the photo of the back between the first panel and the second on the right at the bottom, there is a piece of copper wire shoved into the panels to keep it together, maybe that is why the metal there looks green. The panels are I think bone which have been carved and coloured. I was also thinking the 3 Chinese men, are Fu, Lu and Shou, also within each panel with the men are 3 smaller figures, one playing an instrument, another carrying a jar, I'm not sure of the third figure. I would be interested to hear what other people think.
    Many thanks for looking.

Nice! Export chinese, I think around 1920, chinoiserie was fashion then.
Is it marked silver, china, or nothing?
If nothing, it could be silver plating over coper.
      Personnages are certainly ivory!

Hi Kyra, from the seller there are no marks, apparently the bracelet was her Grandmothers. I won't see this until I'm back in the UK in March. Out of curiosity how do you know this is Ivory?

      Hi Pease!
Experience... And then ivory was not that rare than now, no need to use bone on a nice bracelet!
Google image for difference between bone and ivory, and have a look there:

Hi oldandsilly, I was wondering if you have any idea of whom these figures are, on these panels. I have had the panels securely fixed in as they were falling out and some minor repairs to the silver bracelet.

Hi oldandsilly, I have looked up the 8 immortal and I think I have Chung-Li Chuan who is considered the chief of the immortals, then Chang Kuo-Lao who is represented as a old man with mystic powers, then Lu Don-Pin who is a Taoist Scholar. Hope I've got them right. Thanks so much for your kind help it is much appreciated :-))
