I am helping a friend ID this doll, purchased in 1964-65, in hopes of finding a similar doll today. This is unfortunately the only decent photo of the doll, that has unfortunately been destroyed by a family pet. It was a plush, light blue doll, with a hard plastic face, and was originally purchased in or near Buffalo, NY. The doll seemed to have had brown hair and a slightly open mouth. Additionally, I've included a color photo of this doll, lying on a couch, with a tag hanging off of one side. In searching online, it appears to most resemble a Kuddle Kewpie, but I'd be interested in others' opinions, as well as how to potentially locate one today (if possible). Thank you!

It is hard to see her very good on photo so I would imagine you could tell her better if you saw one . These mask dolls were popular in late 40's till 70's . I can not tell what face is made of as they did mask face dolls in different materials starting with celluloid ,cloth covered and plastic . That would help date her .

Thank you so much, Manikin. I know that this doll was purchased in 1964 or 1965 and I've been told that her face "seemed like hard plastic". Now, I'm not familiar with celluloid doll faces, but apparently this doll's face was not easily damaged, so it seemed to the owner as if it were hard plastic. It's unclear from the photo if the brown hair was molded or painted on the face. I sincerely appreciate all of your input. This is quite a mystery, but I thank you for helping me get closer to an answer!
