We would like some information about this lamp. It is about 5 ft. tall, made of metal. It has faces with horns above each foot of the lamp. There are decorative birds of metal all over the lamp, sort of attached to the lamp. The Monkey appears to be holding a basket on his head. There are swirls all over it too. There is so much detail to this lamp. I have never seen anything like it. We have been trying to get into the Antique Roadshow for help in finding information about where this lamp originates from. We have been unable to find any markings of manufacture on it at all. Would love some help.

OMG -- I want one! I love it! Definitely "Roadshow worthy"!

The closest thing I could find was this similar lamp --
http://www.edgarlowen.com/b10081.jpg -- A FINE MEIJI BRONZE FLOOR LAMP. Japan, Meiji Period, c. late 19th century. A large and substantial bronze floor lamp ornamented with numerous very high profile birds, flowers and a dragon. Provenance: Acquired by the current owner in the 1960's in Japan. This is an original antique Japanese floor lamp, not one of the modern knock offs! $4500 estimate. On sale at: $3250.

Can't wait till we find out exactly what/who/when/how much -- Good luck!
