When I first moved into my Sisters row 1820 home.This was behind one of the mantles.I dont know what kind it is does anyone know ?Thanks everyone

It reminds me a bit of the Polish flag. The bird is what keeps pointing me in that direction.
Yes it was behind mantle in my 1820s house Thanks for any help thanks have a great day toyman.Owner that had house built was military too so It got me wondering .It is very old not sure what its made of either.Thanks for help

Thank for any help.The eagle looks like knivesand such said polish or could be german ?

I'm leaning towards Austrian. The falcon resembles the one s on Austrian crests. They usually onle have a cross bar in middle and this one has vertical and horizontal. But its still really close.

After a little research, I have found that the Byrd family crests have three common factors in relation to this crest. First, they have an eagle in common. Second, the color red is dominate in both. And third, they have two lines that cross over centered in crest.
Dr. Byrd was the second owner of Sisters Row. I personally feel there is too many things in common not to be of relation. Different branches of the family would create their own family crest.
You may very well have a piece that crossed the "pond" with his family.
I'll continue researching. I'm very intrigued with this mystery of yours.
