George Nelson was an American industrial designer and was a director of design for the Herman Miller Company (a major manufacturer of home goods with innovative designs). George Nelson was really a brilliant designer who believed that design should be about doing more with less.
I inherited this clock from my grandparent's who were designers and decorated their house in this fabulous modern furniture.

This is just such a super article on Irving Harper who worked for George Nelson Associates: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/irving-harper-paper-wizard/

His design work - including that for the sunburst clock - never gets credited to him.

@noob thanks for sharing! It is sad that this clock is not credited to the right designer.
