    From the days before the hand sink. Probably 1880s to 1920s. They were coated with a glass like finish. As you can see they tend to chip easily. The swirl patterns tend to be more valuable than the solid colored or speckled patterns. Gray swirl patterns are also very common.

      Love old enamelware!! The first pic -- isn't that a Baby Tub? That what we call ours here

      I have a small collection here....

      Thank you very much antiquerose. It's only about a foot wide so it is a bit small for a baby basin.
      My collection is fair sized.
