Another of the original sets from 1964. Probably should have been an army set as the Marines usually arrived via amphibious landings. But they did have some airborne elements. Anyway the set came with everything seen on the figure aside from the uniform and helmet. The helmet set was sold separately with netting and camouflage. Sadly the netting gets very loose after taking it from the package.
Looks like finishing up the GI Joe posts will take a bit longer than I thought still again.
fortapache, your G.I. Joe collection is awesome!! Back several years ago, when the anniversary editions were released (the ones with hair) I bought my boys one each for Christmas. They still have them and never took them out of the box. They were nearly identical to the one I had in 1970.
Thank you kindly jscott. The anniversary sets are excellent. Many pieces very hard to tell from original. I think they used a lot of the same molds an d patterns.
