1960 Saara Hopea Kupla "Bubble" Glass Vase

Saara Hopea designed Kupla for Nuutajärvi glass factory in 1955. Every Kupla vase has a turquoise bubble of glass encased in the clear base of the vase. Due to the handmade process each vase is slightly different and unique. The top of the vase can be dark blue, olive green, yellow or moss green. There is also a completely clear version. Each color was made in different heights: 11,5 cm, 13 cm or 19 cm. These vases were made 1955 – 1961.

Each piece is signed with “S.Hopea Nuutajärvi Notsjö” followed by the year it was made, f.ex. “-61? for 1961.
