It must be pretty day!
This vase is another pretty from Japan.
It's a lovely mauve and white glass, moulded, with a frilled mouth (like a lizard? nah), gold scatters, and a hot finished base. A clear snake twines it's body and neck.
I see these vases a bit on Japanese sites and sometimes they include little gold medallions. I appreciate the relative subtlety of this one!
Kamei is a fairly well known name in Japanese vintage glass but after bankruptcy in the 90s they resumed business in the 2000s using the name Kamay.
Kamay do not make glass; they wholesale it (much as I suspect Kamei did).
So who made this? Dunno. Maybe Tsugaru? It's one of their styles.
