While it carries the ‘Wyncote’ brand name and bears a decal on the back identifying it as made by Philco, Inc., of Weedsport, NY, this cyclometer clock is identical to those produced by the Barr Manufacturing Co. (also based in Weedsport). Barr is best known for its early battery-powered clocks, but the company also made two digital models in the 1940s -- one with a rather plain wooden case, and this streamlined Bakelite model that was available in black, brown, or white. The movement used by Barr was patented by Edwin M. Goldsmith, Jr. in 1944.

Just bought a Barr Manufacturing one like this, the only difference is the numerals on mine are black against a white background. Still runs beautifully, had to replace the cord.
