    A nail hand forged by Black Smith 1870s
    This nail was from the main gate removed
    about 1984 the gate unlike rest of Fort in a
    bad condition unable to be closed and for
    safety as fort open to public replaced.
    Hand forged six inch long. 1/2 thick.

      What is the fort that you mention.

      Must give more details. the Fort is Fort Glanville, South Australia
      Coastal fort to protect Semaphore bay Anchorage.
      Two 10 inch 34 ton guns and two six ton 64 pdr guns ,
      All cannon Armstrong manufacture.
