Flagstaff is the largest city along Route 66 in Arizona. It is called the capital of Northern Arizona. Currently it is trendy place favored by hipsters. As you can see it has the classic architecture of the time but with a southwestern twist.
Route 66 and the Santa Fe Railroad (currently BNSF) go hand in hand. Many of the towns were named by the Santa Fe railroad but not Flagstaff. Anyway there is a lot of rail activity in Flagstaff and you can see two trains passing each other with horns blaring. And you can do that while shopping at antique malls across the street.

I had a great aunt that lived there most of her life. But, we never made it there to visit her.

Flagstaff is awesome... Are you going to go see the big crater near by or the painted desert?
