An art deco faux tortoise and sterling presentation card box

I am going to show in this post the second of the two small boxes from a collection of precious small objects Sergio has found in several years. They were bought to Dorita Ferrari, from Cambalache here in Cerro de las Rosas Córdoba, Argentina. This box was very dirty so it we bought it because the gold initials were a wonderful hint of the quality of the product. Sergio polished it the splendid engraved silver appeared. He had struggled several days with his book till finding that the hallmarks indicated that it was Austrian from 1922 - Present. Toucan head, letter on left indicates city, W= Vienna and 1 for highest purity. Makers initials JS. The contrast of the gold over the dark translucent material is stunning. I think that this was done short before 1929.
