I have a Chinese (or Japanese ? ) pic here that appears to have some gold (metal??) threading in the pic. Might that be what yours is??

Certainly a chinese marriage gift, full of auspicious symbols:
      - pair od cranes and ducks: long marriage, ultimate longevity and marriage bliss.
      - Peony - beauty, rank, higher social status, luxury, opulence.
      - Pine trees - longevity, steadfastness, and self-discipline, endurance, long life.
