I FINALLY found something "good" at Goodwill for $1.95:

Here is a really great piece a perpetual calendar panorama of the landmarks of Washington D.C. A rare piece, it has two knobs on each side, one each for the month, and day of the week, and two for the actual date. Across the front it states: WASHINGTON, D.C.. Shown in the panorama are the Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, US Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. Base measures 4 by 2 inches and it is just under 4 " tall. I believe that it is from he 1940s.

Thanks to aghcollect for updated information!

The winged globe symbol on the lower back is the "Made in Occupied Japan" mark so it is circa 1946-1953 - there was one of these on ebay listed for $97, didn't sell but they tried. There is another one currently listed on ebay/eu for $29.99 (USD). If you only paid $1.95 for it, you did good :)
