This lamp came down through my family to me. It is pre 1900. The workmanship is beautiful with silver over copper. The stones I believe are citrine. The lamp has many dents and the citrine is chipped. It has the original cloth cord. There are no makers marks that I can see. I have looked and never found anything like this but I know by the quality of the workmanship that it was done by a very talented artist. Any info would be appreciated.

I would welcome any thoughts on who might be the maker of this lamp. Any info would help.
      Thanks,

It is delightful. When you have it rewired get them to use rayon cord and a reproduction plug, you will be glad that they did. Sorry, I can't help with regard to a maker but I will keep looking.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

Hienz made similar copper with sterling overlay pieces, it might be a place to start your search. Beautiful lamp. I agree with Lisa, reproduction rayon cord and period style plug. It appears as the original patina may have been polished away at some point.

check out http://www.heinzcollector.com for a similar jeweled lamp. Lots of information on Heinz Metal Works.

I think years ago it was buffed by my brother. Do you think a new lacquer would hurt the value at this point? Thanks to all for the comments.

I would contact the collector above for information. It is possible the original patina could be duplicated. If not, and it being a family piece that you don't intend to sell, decide for yourself what type of finish you want to live with. You could carefully polish it by hand (no buffing wheels) and put a coat of laquer over it. Or just injoy the way it is . Matter of personal taste.
