    Really beautiful piece but I can't find any information about origin or the artist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Vase is approximately 8.5" tall and 5.5" at widest point.

    There appear to be initials on base but no idea what they are? M or W... see last photo.

      Thanks so much! The Russian suggestion helped...I found something kinda similar on Etsy from Russian vendor. I will try to contact. At least that's a start!!Thanks again!

      i think it's from Ecuador. i've seen quite a bit of woodwork w/ similar designs and themes on it. the toucan and the volcano are used a lot there - particularly around Pastaza.
