Excellent quality for costume - this is 2-1/2", probably from the 1970's. I wear it with my real Navajo brooches.
Found a little more info regarding St. Labre:
Founded by Leo Dohn from New York, he built a jewelry manufacturing plant in the 1960s on a reservation of the Northern Cheyenne in Montana. The plant was in operation only until 1975. They were best known for fake turquoise pieces like this.
beautiful!!!
Caught my eye.....Beautiful!
I see a mark on it, who made this, valentino? Very stylish!
Thank you Sean!
Thanks also to PatSea - it is very nice.
Thanks Ken - yes - good quality and really well made for just junk!
Katherine - the mark is St. Labre. An identical one right now on ebay.
I thought it WAS Navajo from the photo.
Great Valentino!
Thanks Karen for the nice comment, very fun costume piece. I really LOVE my real items but I wear this one a lot since the design is interesting.
Thank you CW friends for love!
Great, good idea to wear together! Perfect on the denim jacket :-))
Thanks Kyra - I love my denim jackets and my turquoise stuff...
Very beautiful Valentino97!!
Thanks Elisabeth, okay to mix fake and real? I've worn it as a necklace too.
Thank you CW friends for your love.
Sweet post !! Thanks for sharing!!
I also still have my 1970's Blue Jean jacket......LOL
I have a few more than I can wear old blue jean jackets. This one is a favorite Levi's, not as old as the 70's but mended and patched....Thanks for loving the old fake brooch.
