Hi,
Just bought this Disney pocket watch. My question, Is this a fake? I have read some of your blogs regarding the Mickey Mouse pocket watch but not sure if this applies to this character.
Front of watch (under belly) shows ((c)1939 W.D. Prod. At the bottom front on face it says made in USA. Now it has Turquoise paint on the tips of the hands. (clock hand not duck)
Back is smooth. I did removed the pop off cover and the movement says, Endura Time Corp. Gr. Britain. After removing the cover I was unable to get back on so took to a clock guy and he had a hard time getting it back on. Said it was slightly warped. He did get it on but suggested I not remove it again. There was mention of Al Horen designs. Could this be one of his?
It does work but I only wind it slightly as not sure how tight to wind. I bought this to keep but would feel better knowing it is not a fake watch.
Any help will be appreciated.
yes fake 1939 Donald. Seen several of these lately, sorry, but it's a fake and probably came out of England

Thank you so much for your speedy reply. Now I have to return this to my friend. $150.00 too much to pay for a fake. He was so excited as he had just purchased a handful of Disney watches. Only hope the others are original for his sake.

You're welcome, but $150 for an original 1939 Donald would have been a steal, an original sells normally around 750+ and around 1.5k in pristine condition with box. Sorry, it wasn't real, would been a great find
