This is a little bit of a show and ask and tell. ;o) I will state all the obvious things and ask those of you who know the really neat stuff to add on. Thank you.
This followed me home with the little salts. Granted not of the same pattern or even the same base glass I did feel that they would appear to belong on my dinning table as a threesome. This pair of marmalades are formed of Rubina glass, then threaded with clear threads and finally two rows of rigaree in Vaseline glass were added and tooled to form the top ruffle and the ring which would hold them in the proper silver plated frame. The frame that came with them makes that unnecessary because it is not fitted with rings but rather little dishes. I think that it will polish up but I have yet to do it and they do sit quite nicely in this married frame. The tells, are that the Vaseline ruffle which form the top can interfere with the handle, and as I mentioned the holders have bottoms.
Again I must thank Perfumer for this new addition to my collection, prior to this I did have a pitcher and tumblers of Rubina Verde glass which I do some times use at the table but these are the bees knees comparatively. ;o)
Thank you to taking a look at my new toys. I look forward to hearing from you.
