This is a medium sized vase with gold/red tones predominant. The main design is a cockatoo bird on one side only. The handles are either foo dog or dragon. Unfortunately, the handles have brass rings which have chipped the two sides of the vase. It stands 13 1/2" tall and the middle is approx. 8 3/4" wide. I believe it to be Japanese.

Look like Kutani porcelain. A pic of bottom will surely help specialists :-)

it,s a kutani but which one , the nippon mark is out and the zak mark is out. it,s meijji period late 19 centur, with a ring handle probably to sturdy for a taoti

      well decent vase
