    This cool but creepy clown jack in the box was made in the 1920's. The box is made of wood with a simple latch, unlike the more modern wind up type. The head is made of composition and the body and collar are thin paper. This is a squeeker, for he is spring loaded, and when he pops up he emits a squeek. I could see this toy giving a child nightmares.
