    These book one images issued early in The War. I will be posting later versions, and images of ration coupons sometime soon.

    The USA had it good compared to Europe, re: food during these dark times. And to hear the stories of older people, there was a lot of illegal use of these coupons.

    A few years back, I asked an elderly American neighbor if she liked SPAM, to which she quickly replied "No, I had enough of that during The War." I guess that suffering and deprivation are relative…..

      Flip, it is just Food -- and a Human Right need -- but sounds like a criminal offence if used wrong or you helped another in need...

      Good morning, nutsy…tank you for the love and for your kind comment. The ration books are part of my family history. I'm glad that I discovered tucked away with some other things. I'm thinking that if another family member had found them, that the items would have ended up in the trash bin.
