Found at an estate sale today. Banged up but I fell in love with it (I sense I'm on my way to becoming a trunk hoarder as this is my second one and have plans for more!). No markings. Any idea of when it would have been made? Thank you for any help you can give me!
A very nice find -- I would say 1870's to early '80's. The lock is totally awesome. Also the handle caps on the sides are really nice cast iron -- all marks of a quality trunk in its time. Welcome to the world of trunk hoarding... 'tis a fine world...
Thanks for the info :) I just bought my third one today. Don't think it's as old as this one but still unique.
