Kodak had a series of cameras called Bantams. This one was the Kodak Bantam f.8. A small, bakelite camera introduced in 1938. It had a telescoping tube/box like lens that would pop out when a small handle on the left hand side was pushed. There is a little button by the film advance knob that needs to be pushed in order to wind the film. When the lens is retracted, the shutter cannot be activated. This was one of the many cameras that were designed by the famous Walter Dorwin Teague. It took 828 film.

The camera isn't very stable for display purposes, so I've stuck a few dimes under the lens for support, haha.
