2 interesting rings, about 11/16" or 18mm - both adjustable by the way. Left marked Beau Sterling - Nice size and great Art Deco or Machine Age style. On right a popular style often copied by not as nice as this heavy original: AGE sterling 925 Norway. 2 wonderful rings. I have seen the balls (looks like a jester's hat) ring often on ebay but never the one on the left.
I couldn't resist my friends - I had to post a bird picture. NOT so sweet because the 2 parakeets were bullying my finches today. They don't even pay attention to the little guys Whitey Bulger and Atticus Finch and their cage. I found out why - Cumi & Theo's seed feeder was clogged and they were darn mad someone else was able to eat. Whitey and Atticus are chirping "can't we all just get along?"
Thanks AGH!
Val, interesting post in all parts :-)
I love the Beau sterling design, ant the "Jester hat" looks for me like a drosera, fly eating plant, leave border.
Poor finches, the parakeets are a terrifying gang!
Sweet couple! We used to have a pair of yellow budgies .They were brawlers :-)
Hi Kyra - yes the jester looks a lot like drosera! My ring is hefty. I've seen this design copied also from Mexico but not same quality. Thanks for seeing the Bugs in the design and yes my parakeets are terrifying to the 2 tiny ones.
Hi Ivonne - my trip is getting closer! I'm excited & have much to do but I think I have 3 friends who can watch these 4 terrors. Brawler parakeets are usually females. I fostered a grown female once for a few weeks and tied her cage doors shut. Valentino97 was so angry she untied the knots and fought the other sweetie. It was heartbreaking. Cumi and Theo are males but they will bully when it comes to food.
Thanks also to Sean, Karen, Trey, Mike and Rick for loves.
Love, love these rings too. This may sound funny but it may also give you a different idea...The jester reminds me of 'Jax'. I sure wish I could find an old set of them, I seriously would play.
And your parakeets are so pretty. My uncle Frank and aunt Janet had parakeets. I did a lot of ducking while visiting them. lol! The white one looks like he's telling you off!
And one last thing...Your profile pic is adorable!
Love your ring by modernist Anna Greta Eker! The ring was probably made late 50's or the 60's. I watt one toooo! :)
I want one to :)
Thanks Share! I know what you mean about ducking - mine like to swoop, but they don't mean any harm just curious. The white one Cumi is completely from a hand-fed world and he is so sweet despite his mean look!
Thanks Elisabeth for telling me who made this ring! Are they (by Anna Greta Eker) hard to find?
I saw 't think they are found very easily. I've been into vintage jewelry for about two years now and during that time I've seen two for sale on line here in Sweden. If you search her name on line - the World- a few adds will Come up. I would say not very rare but not a ring you find every day. Saw adds that said $175. I think it's a very cool ring!
It should say 'I don't think they are....'.
Thanks again - I would never guess $175! I know it's nice because it is great quality - solid, perfect construction and signed. I found this ring in Omaha, Nebraska in the 80's.
love the ring, surprised it's not 60-70's....lovely
love your birds...look t the white budgy, it's say to you, "surely you can sort this out"...lol
Thanks Anne - the white budgie Cumi definitely has that look on his face and he is a very sweet bird. Thanks for enjoying those rings and things....
