Here are a few tango or spatter glass fan vases likely manufactured by Antonin Rückl & Sons, Vcelnicka. This decor of the first one is cherry red with green and black spatter or vari-colored mottled base. It measures 7" tall and 8-3/4" wide. Bottom is unmarked and has a nicely polished pontil.

This fan vase shape (or similar) is illustrated in the Butler Brothers Feb 1930 Catalog. Description reads "Popular Fan Shape, 3 styles, 7 in., spread 8-3/4, cased glass, green, canary, and cherry red vari-colored mottled base. 1/4 dozen in pkg. Doz $7.25"

This spatter glass decor can be found on a documented Ruckl vase shape as follows:

The vase in the following link has this same cherry red with black and green spatter decor:

    http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/68372-czech-spatter-glass-vase

That vase shape is identified as Ruckl here:

There are other shapes with this decor such as this covered jar:

Photo 3 show this same fan vase shape in the ca 1931 Ruckl Opalrosa Shimmy Pfau Decor, as documented in Truitt Collectible Bohemian Glass II, page 75.

Photo 4 shows the same fan vase shape in the ca 1931 Ruckl Opalblue Shimmy Pfau Decor, as documented in Truitt Collectible Bohemian Glass II, page 75.

This fan vase shape is found with a variety of marks. One of the marks found on this shape is the "Kralik" semicircle mark. The meaning of the semi-circle or arched Kralik mark is documented on pages 122-123, Collectible Bohemian Glass Vol. II, by Robert and Deborah Truitt. It states that only 60% to 70% of glassware with the arched "Kralik" mark is actually Kralik.

All constructive comment and questions are welcome.

An exact quote from Monograph 121, written by Tom Felt:

"“The glassware offerings are extensive and while only rarely is a manufacturer identified, it was early discovered by Bill Heacock and others that very often Butler Brothers offered assortments that were shipped in barrels from the factory of origin. Thus, if one piece in an assortment could be identified, it became possible to attribute the rest of the pieces to the same manufacturer.”

The gentleman that said B&B Assortments were usually from the same manufacturer was Bill Heacock. His focus and line of study was American glass, not Czech.

That would be a valid point if Heacock was the only one that found that to be true. Fortunately that is not the case. In addition to the "others" mentioned in the quote above, my own 10 years of research indicates that the Czech glass also appears to be grouped by manufacturer.

Yeah, other EAPG Collectors. He's more likely referring to the American EAPG Glass was that sold by the barrel in assorted shapes.

Not very likely that Bill Heacock commented on an unpublished book relating to a topic that was totally unfamiliar to him. His comment was likely related to a separate catalog reprint showing American pattern glass.

Butler Brothers wholesale catalog, September 1930, Page 38 states that barrels and boxes cost extra. This may be an indication that Butler Brothers filled the barrels and boxes. Barrels were 35 Cents extra according to page 73. Other advertisements in the same catalog offer items in what they refer to as original packages.
